How Wedding Musicians Company pulls it all together
Music is a huge part of setting the tone at a wedding or other important event. Selecting the music can feel daunting at first, but you won’t be in this alone.
Some of our clients know exactly what they want. Others do not know where to start. Wherever you fall along that scale, we collaborate with you to create the experience you envision. We especially encourage you to select music that speaks to you for ceremony processionals and recessionals, plus any special music and favorite works for the event and reception. You may choose all the music or any portion, and we serve as expert partners, working with you as well as your wedding planner if you have one to create a truly one-of-a-kind program.
Our music collections are extensive and diverse across instrumentation, genre and personal taste. We’ll walk you through your wedding music options The goal is to match selections to your style, location and preferences while including works that are distinctive and unique.
We have found that 30 minutes of pre-event music, and 40 minutes for the processionals, ceremony, and recessionals (exits) work for most wedding ceremonies. Factors such as Communion, a homily or additional vocals may increase ceremony time and require extra fees.
Reception times may be contracted by the hour and additional 30-minute increments. Some receptions without dancing, serving of a seated dinner or alcoholic beverages usually require no more than 1.5 hours of music.
We require our musicians to report on a job 30 minutes before they are to perform.
